Yamaha XT 250 Project

Now, I know my website is based around scootering, but the Yamaha XT250 was such an iconic bike back in the 80's for the youth crowd. Especially in the Skinhead scene, here in Jersey anyway. My dad remembers this bike from back in the day and always wanted one even though he was a Mod.

It was only a few weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon whilst working on my Vespa GT project, that we starting chatting about the Yamaha XT. My dad and I talked about how it would be nice to buy one and of course do it up as a project. I then went on to have a quick search through eBay, not realising that the first bike to come up was a Yamaha XT 250 for restoration. Straight away without even thinking, I messaged the seller and two days later we had bought the bike. The bike was located in Derby and it only took 4 working days for the bike to arrive on my doorstep. There is a lot to do on the bike, but that is what restorations are all about.  I will keep everyone updated on the progress we make!
